‘Flowerbloom’ is a Unique Collection of Photographs that Scottish Jewellery Artist Deborah Murdoch and Award Winning Fine Art Photographer GarthIvan have collaborated on to create a unique vision. Drawing on a rich tapestry of inspiration - from ikebana, to frozen Scottish landscapes. Flowerbloom merges the sublime and the grotesque to create images of beauty filled with tension. By exploring themes of manipulation in the natural world, such as freezing, bondage, containment, and painting over what is naturally occurring, Flowerbloom questions our impact on the environment and what is considered beautiful through provocation and manipulation.
