TIPS FOR JEWELLERY CARE
Remove your jewellery before engaging in practical activities. This will ensure that your jewellery does not get accidentally damaged.
Beauty products for skin and hair can react with precious stones and metals, causing your jewellery to tarnish, discolour and even possibly corrode. Please put your jewellery on last, after applying any cosmetics, scents and sprays.
All of our sterling silver jewellery can be cleaned by using a soft none abrasive cloth and warm soapy water. Silver jewellery can also be polished with a silver cleaning cloth made only for silver jewellery. *Do not use silver dip on the jewellery as this can be very abrasive.
All our solid gold jewellery can be cleaned by using a soft none abrasive cloth and warm soapy water. Gold jewellery can also be polished with a gold cleaning cloth made only for gold jewellery. *Do not use dip on the jewellery as this can be very abrasive.
STORING YOUR JEWELLERY
When storing your jewellery we recommend doing so in air tight boxes or bags. Exposure to the environment can cause your jewellery to tarnish over time. Storing jewellery in this way will keep the metal and stones in good condition.
Do not store your jewellery in damp or humid conditions as this causes tarnishing and a damp environment attracts dust to stick and settle in the hard-to-clean stone settings.
Take extra care when cleaning jewellery set with stones and pearls. If unsure about how to clean your jewellery please contact us directly.
Accidents may happen with jewellery, therefore we are happy to repair all jewellery from Deborah Murdoch if possible, there maybe a charge for this service.
